You Got That In Triplicate

So in an attempt at politics trying to drown the world in bureaucracy and weight a soul down into the black mire of the abyss comes this attempt by the Chinese government:

"In one of history's more absurd acts of totalitarianism, China has banned Buddhist monks in Tibet from reincarnating without government permission. According to a statement issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the law, which goes into effect next month and strictly stipulates the procedures by which one is to reincarnate, is "an important move to institutionalize management of reincarnation."

Out of curiosity - how does one fill out the proper paperwork? Which begs the question, once you come back around how do you verify that you filled the paperwork out in your previous life?

I know this has deeper roots, but on the surface it causes laughter then fills the soul sadness to see how far humans may reach to try and maintain control over others - - -

I wonder how much of things like this have to do with the need of humans to try to control others - or their world, or everything around them - or how much of it is motivated by the almighty dollar - you know, registration fees for several reincarnations could add up quite quickly!

true - so would you try for a reincarnation licence with regular fees (like a driver's licence)?

either way a hold up in the reincarnation of a soul would definatly aid in the their goal to control over population and correct the current gender imbalances that China is facing.

Maybe they'll give a group discount - or "frequent flyer miles" - Though the paperwork would be hard to verify....:P

not to mention this is all based on the idea you'd be reincarnated as a human - - what if the universe says it's your turn to be a grasshopper?

guess it's incentive for the government to get it's cash up front :)
